A packed podcast full of indie goodness!

In no particular order I played The Wilton Project ~ All in a Dream, Jess Vincent ~ Sweet William,  The One and Only ~ Come Around, The Sons of Dark Horses ~ Wondering Why, Burning Shapes ~ Someone Else’s Words, Calvin Roche ~ Fly To You, David Hagen ~ I Am King ( Just realised that I played this two weeks ago but I don’t care because it is amazing), Decode ~  If Only (we live to tell the tale), Thom Cross ~ Standing on the Edge of the World, Clockwork ~ Rich and Famous and a demo of a tune of mine called Don’t.  I interviewed Melodramas at The Brook in Southampton and played “Kids” from their new ep as well as find out which are their favourite instruments.

All the fun of the fair!

A lovely mixture of music and interviews this week. I interviewed Cut Corners as well as Sean McGowan at their “Sound of the C” gig at The Brook in Southampton this week and played tracks from both of them. I missed interviewing Til Dusk but played a great track from them anyway. Other tracks included Australia’s own Clean Marlin who are playing at The Annandale Hotel in Annandale Sydney at 9.15  this coming Thursday, Sarah Saville ~ Transparent, Owen Hackett ~ Gregs Riff, Indigo Earth ~ Cold Light of Day, Schnauser ~ Cosmic Ordering Service, The Travis Waltons ~ Millionaire and I finished off with a reworked version of Jackie Who now called Jackie Who TWO.

Lovely!!

It’s an Unplug The Jukebox Special and how special it was and we all were.

We played Beatitudes Piece of Mind, Johnny Dark I like The Rain, In Darklight The Human Race, David Simnell and The Pumpernickles Let Love In.

Andrew Foster came in and enthralled  us with his music as well as his chat.

Mark “Smutz” Smith bought with him tracks by The Melodramas a rare acoustic version of Jackanory and The Lost Souls Club Romeo. He also gave an insight into how he his having great success in the far east with the many bands under his charge as well as his advice on how artists can maximize their gigs.

I recorded a cheeky little tune I just can’t get happy to round things off

All got our passports handy have we?!?!?

p.s. The eagle eyed amongst you may notice that I forgot to take pictures of the events so I drew a little representation…
