So here we are, episode 100! Recorded live at The Cellar Southampton and what an afternoon Paul (Unplug the Juke Box) and I had!

Sadly no live video stream ( I broke the internet!) but some great live performances from Anja McCloskey, Marvin B Naylor, The Lost Boys, Mike Vaughan and Gideon Towers from Gideon’s Demise. I filled in with some amazing tracks from Tim Farrell and Matt Stevens ( the remixed one by Pseudo Ambient) . I chatted with Guy Sivour from Sand River,  David Simnell, and Mark Lawrence from Broken Links. It would have been mean not to play one of their tracks so I did that too!

In time honored fashion I finished of with one of my tracks Be Like Your Friend.

Thanks to everyone that came along and especially to Mark & Kev from The Cellar for letting me shout in their bar for a few hours!

It’s a big one this week enough to keep you going over the festive period as I will be taking a couple of weeks off.

I was joined by that nice Paul Lane from UnplugThejukebox and Doyle and Ben fromDoyle & The Forefathers who apart from playing a brand new song and an old favourite, join us in putting the world of music to rights.

I kick off with a very xmasie tune by the wonderful Salme Dahlstrom followed by Black & White Christmas by Isle of Mann band Postcode. The two “Doyles” then give us a brand new tune call Spend a lot of time alone from their soon to be released album which is then followed by Sometimes from The Lost Souls Club, then Pick up Sticksfrom Super Adventure Club. I then play the the tune that gave me the idea to do an xmas special in the first place We Three Kings by the glorious King Never followed by Paul’s choice Future at Last by the very excellent Woven Bird

A nice chilled out start to this weeks podcast with the beautiful Late Riser, followed by the equally beautiful These Fine Galleons. Matt from  King Never makes everyone feel beautiful buy that tune here Possibilities The Hostages may think they are beautiful but they’re not a patch on Salme Dahlstrom who is quite gorgeous and you can buy her track here TheWaxEsatz are from up north so anything is possible. May KB makes beautiful music so therefore must be beautiful. Paul Lane from Unplug The Jukebox isn’t as beautiful as he thinks……..or is he?

I encouraged everyone to go out and find their own X Factor out in their town unless you want to watch people who think they can sing but can’t. There are loads of musicians doing plying their trade so forget the mediocre rubbish on the tv and get out and enjoy yourself.
