This Sunday

I usually use this blog to promote the podcast, however I am playing a big gig on Sunday and need some support.

If you are anywhere near, or in Southampton this Sunday come along and see me play on a big stage at one of the best venues in the south The Brook.

I’ll be sharing my spot with Chalky Gravell and top drum dude Steve Christy. Other bands playing will be The Melodramas, The Lost Souls Club and Light Divided

The Brook  is located at 466 Portswood Road,Southampton

I will be on at 8pm with doors opening at 7.30

I seriously hope I get to see some of you there and if you can’t make it I’d appreciate it if you could spread the word for me, perhaps use that retweet button eh?

Normal podcast service will now be resumed….

Is This Thing On Podcast 38

Back to some form of normality this week

I played (in no particular order) Indigo Earth, Haunted Stereo, Matt Stephens remixed by Pseudo Ambient, Kevin Fisher, Steve Lowis, STIMULATOR, Matt Erion Trio, Jim Chorley and me.

Dave Miles was talking to Benita Johnson and Apoc was waxing lyrical aboot Another Story

My hangover suggests that this may not be as good as I may have thought it was.

I kept it simple this week and concentrated on the music. Playing a top mix of tunes from the great Steve Lowis, a great track by Sigurdór Guðmundsson and NOT Menn Arsins as I wrongly said in the podcast, the awesome Rainer Straschill, the glorious Doyle and the Forefathers (sorry I missed your gig last night guys), the huge King Never, the beautiful Lisa Hogan, I played you a live song right off of the mic, after playing one of my favourite tracks from the perfectly formed Matt Stevens,I finished off with the ever changing and brilliant Brian Wilbur Groundstrom.

Napoleon and Swineshead (Watch with Mothers) tell me they are still trapped in the Philippines due to the ash cloud and Apoc has been sent to the naughty step.

Click on some links and get yourself some great new music, preferably  mine.

UPDATE This is the Namaste Indian eatery in Southampton that called me during the recording of the cast
