Yes it’s another Unplug the Jukebox Special! This week Paul Lane joins me from Unplug the Jukebox for a podcast so packed we had to make it in two parts!

Helped largely by cans of wonderful Polish Tyskie beer we waxed lyrical, ranted, raved and generally spouted.

In this part we played full unadulterated tracks and by The Rising, Mash Attack, Curxes, Butterflies on Strings, The Douglas Firs, Bourdeauxxx and the mighty Marvin B Naylor as well as mentioning Marvin’s brilliant Diary of A Busker blog.

As I explain, a bit late this week…

I kick off with an amazing track by the marvelous Marvin B Naylor with a track called Boy Became a Man that I recorded live at a Pure Acoustica event at The White Swan In Winchester.

I followed that up with great track called Flowers by Southampton ban The Lost Boys

A lovely piece of jazz by the sublime Matt Erion Trio leads me in to an interview with the wonderful Helen Austin a Brit in a land similar to Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, probably..She makes a few bucks (Canadian) by getting her tunes on tv shows and adverts.

Another live tune this time by Southampton’s Uke Supergroup The Spiraltones

I mentioned the forthcoming Xmas bumper special. Yes, a special with some fantastic music by bands who were part of Southampton’s Music In The City Festival. I start with an awesome track by a very nice man who I met in the Quilters Vault yesterday called Mr Marvin B Naylor click his name to go straight to his bandcamp site, it’s all good. Next Doyle and the Forefathers and live version of their new single Guvnor of Giving up that I recorded at their session yesterday buy the album by clicking the little button here . A little chat from Paul Lane from Unplug the Jukebox about MutantVinyl and Ask Alfie (who is also reviewed by Paul here)then a track about his crop circle making father by Jim Chorley. A little flava of Route To Routes recorded live yesterday then another live recording of The Real Raj who was magnificent also recorded yesterday at Southampton’s Music In The City festival. Then to finish the whole thing off a brand new tune by me played live today! Buy my rubbish here
